yesterday, we went to jiyugaoka - "cake city" - and it
was lovely, and we ate nice cake. but i think this is
a better documentation for our day. this was taken
outside of naruse station at about 630 pm... people
were staring at the sky in hordes, stopping strangers
(even us gaijin) to point it out to them.

Are rainbows so rare in Tokyo? Sounds like everyone had a moment.
The picture doesn't show it, but it was a double rainbow. There was another fainter rainbow on top of this one. And the rainbow seemed to end around the vicinity of our house.
i don't know if they're SO rare... but it was very big and bright.
