Hiroshima and Miyajima
Ian and I went to Hiroshima for the weekend to meet up with Birch and see some stuff. It was my first time. We went to the Genpaku Dome and the Peace Museum, and also visited Miyajima and Itsukushima shrine. The weather cooperated beautifully. Hiroshima is a lovely and interesting city.

You got a lot in for a 2 day trip. It is definitely a must-see in Japan. Too bad you missed the monkeys.
i think, alas, that the monkeys are long-term retreated into the mountains.
